2013 (KY Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff in suit against the insurer for bad faith in delaying the settlement and forcing the plaintiff to file a lawsuit following a motor-vehicle rear end collision. A defense verdict resulted in this action. See McKenzie v. Farm Bureau, 11-CI-563 (Scott Cir. Ct., Oct. 29, 2013).2011 (KY National Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff-estate in a bad faith claim after a plaintiff’s verdict stemming from a UIM claim. The bad faith claim focused on the insurer’s valuation of the underlying claim. See Howard v. Kentucky National Insurance Company, 05-CI-388 (Bell Cir. Ct., Aug. 5, 2011).

2009 (The Medical Protective Company):
Represented plaintiff in bad faith suit against a medical malpractice insurer who delayed payment of a tort (medical malpractice) claim in order to meets its indemnity budget. See Wiles v. The Medical Protective Company, 01-CI-0992 (Kenton Cir. Ct., May 20, 2009).

2007 (Tennessee Farmers Insurance):
Represented plaintiff in bad faith suit against insurance company who refused to pay policy limits when medicals and damages exceeded the policy limits. See Jones v. Tennessee Farmers Mutual Insurance, 02-CI-0581 (Whitley Cir. Ct., Dec. 20, 2006); and Tenn. Farmers Mut. Ins. Co. v. Jones, 2008 Ky. App. Unpub. LEXIS 19 (Ky. Ct. App. September 12, 2008).

2006 (Hamilton Mutual Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff-estate in a bad faith suit against insurance company for unreasonably denying and delaying payment in a UIM benefits case where the deceased was killed by a drunk-driver in a head-on collision. See Barnett v. Hamilton Mutual Insurance, 00-CI-0004 (Taylor Cir. Ct., Sept. 27, 2006); and Hamilton Mut. Ins. Co. v. Barnett, 2008 Ky. App. Unpub. LEXIS 71 (Ky. Ct. App. August 8, 2008).

2004 (Hamilton Mutual Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff who received a verdict, which was affirmed on appeal, following a fire loss in a bad faith suit against an insurance company who refused to pay under the insurance contract. See Buttery v. Hamilton Mutual Insurance Company, 01-CI-0571 (Knox Cir. Ct., Oct. 13, 2004); and Hamilton Mut. Ins. Co. v. Buttery, 220 S.W.3d 287 (Ky. Ct. App. 2007)

2004 (Kentucky National Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff in a bad faith suit following property damage to a building owned by the plaintiff. The insurance company offered only the functional value of the building as opposed to the amount specified in the contract. See Eriksen v. Kentucky National Insurance Company, 00-CI-1008 (Hardin Cir. Ct., Oct. 29, 2004).

2002 (Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff in a bad faith suit following loss of home due to a fire where the insurer attempted to have the plaintiff accept less money. A defense verdict resulted in this action. See Palmer v. Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, 00-CI-0043 (Lee Cir. Ct., Apr. 18, 2002).

2000 (KY Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company):
Represented plaintiff in a bad faith suit against an insurance company for its failure to pay plaintiff the policy benefits in a UIM claim. See Rodgers v. KY Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, 98-CI-0274 (Lincoln Cir. Ct., Nov. 1, 2000); and Ky. Farm Bureau Mut. Ins. Co. v. Rodgers, 179 S.W.3d 815 (Ky. 2005).

1999 (Standard Life Insurance Company & Investors Life Insurance Company of North America):
Represented the plaintiff following the wrongful termination of credit-life insurance for her husband by the Defendants (Standard Life and Bank of the Bluegrass) after her husband fell terminally ill. See Morton v. Standard Life Insurance & Bank of the Bluegrass, 95-CI-1527 (Fayette Cir. Ct.) and Morton v. Bank of the Bluegrass, 18 S.W.3d 353 (Ky. Ct. App. 1999).

1998 (Home Insurance Company of Indiana):
Represented plaintiff in a bad faith suit against an insurance company for its failure to pay money owed in a legal malpractice claim. See Geise v. The Home Insurance Co., 90-CI-713 (Pike Cir. Ct., May 22, 1998).
